In the program :

• first contact with shearing (this part includes moving of the herd, handling, how to put the alpaca down, how constrain it, electric and mechanic shearing, cisors trimming, show shearing, nails cutting, vaccination, teeth trimming).
• preparation and sorting of the fleeces for show or spinning
•  first learning about how to recognize the qualities of a fleece, shorn or on the animal
• carding of the fleece (with combs, hand carders, drum carder, making of the slivers)
• handling of the spinning wheel, begining of learning of hand spinning with spinning wheel and spindle. Each peope will have a spinning wheel at his/her disposal. Perfecting course possible for people who knows already how to spin.

The course will be animated by Sandrine for carding and spinning and by Marie-Geneviève.

Price of the course : free. Thank you for your gifts.

The whole profit will be for the associaiton to which the animators are given their work.

Location : at the breeding Alpagas Sologne, Chateau de Rozay 18100 St Georges sur la Prée (12 km Ouest de Vierzon), and at Massay.

Meals : You can bring food, we will share it to eat together, or put poney in the meal pot.

Hosting possible in "gite" : 55€ by night for a couple, breakfast included.
